“I didn’t fall in love with my new property, not a cupboard in sight outside of the kitchen and what I thought would be a fair amount of work required to make it into a home – but I loved the footprint, the location and the views!  I lived in the house for 3 months while looking for someone to take on the work and came to realise I was looking at a fairly substantial renovation.  I met Dan from Kookaburra Homes through recommendation and he visited a couple of times with other members of the team to talk through what I wanted to do.  By that time, I had very specific ideas!  From the completely new bathroom, bespoke joinery in bedrooms and living/dining room, partially renovated kitchen, wooden flooring to the ground floor, carved oak mantles and slate hearths, complete redecoration to doors, door handles and loft ladders, we discussed my vision in detail and Dan made it happen.  He made some great suggestions and as a perfectionist, the quality of his work and that of the other team members was excellent.  From the time the work started Dan/the team were on site every day – no unmentioned disappearances to work on other jobs – which was important for me as I was living and working in the house throughout.  The end result is beautiful.  Everyone who visits comments on the quality of the work.  I couldn’t be happier and would recommend Dan and Kookaburra Homes unreservedly.”
